Taking a Break from Bettas
Here is the deal, my last betta fish just died 2 days ago. The death has been expected upon my betta, he demonstrated swim bladder disease symptoms 2 weeks prior and he has not eaten since. The morning of his death began when I first woke up to use the bathroom. I noticed that the betta was breathing very rapidly while resting on a fake plant in the tank. I didn't put too much mind into it because my betta fish has amazingly survived for two weeks without eating, and I returned to my sleep. I woke up 3 hours later to find my betta fish floating straight up (facing the ceiling and tail to the tank floor). After few examinations, I announced his death. Continue reading
