Sushi!

Donald posted this at 11:36 am under Food

salomonHad sushi today, sushi is always good, especially sashimi. Remember your first encounter of sashimi? What was your reaction to it? Did you just eat it or hesitate about the fact that it was raw? Well, I was the type that hesitated but as soon as I tried it, never looked back.

Bought some stuff

pong

I don't usually spend so much, but today tops everything. It might not be a lot to you, but it's unusual for me. I bought two monitors, $300 worth of gift cards, and a ping pong table. My bank called me just to make sure somebody didn't steal my card and had misused it. The monitor is sick too! I've been using my 15" laptop for 5 years already, so I haven't been able to mess with bigger monitors until today. Gosh I've missed out on a lot. It's so much easier to do work in photoshop! love the screen estate. Tomorrow, I start working and making them money back. hehe :) das all for today.

aloneBe more selfish is going to be part of my resolution next year. I suggest yall to be a little more selfish too. I am going to focus more on myself, invest more resource on myself and become more successful. I realize being unselfish can be overrated when I am incapable of meaningful unselfishness.

give

I was always told in school that energy is neither created nor destroyed. So how did it get there, and what is its purpose? I soon realized that nobody had an answer, and nobody ever will. Sometimes we just have to accept the idea as it is, and run with it. Let us take this energy idea and apply it to our every day life. If energy is neither created nor destroyed, it would also be true that the value that I give will come back. Right?

new-year2010 is coming fast, can you believe that? It seems like yesterday that we were __fill_in_your_own_memory_here__. Time to look forward, this year I have a lot more time to buffer my thoughts and learn about myself since I quit my job. I fell into a slump a bit overwhelmed with the free time I have, but now I am ready to pick it up, ready for my 2010 new year resolutions.

alternatives

People like to argue about the little things. We all know that to loose weight, you just have to eat less and exercise more. We know that to have more money is to save more and spend less. We know that to get results, you have to work your ass off. But nobody wants to hear that. Everyone wants to argue about the details. They want to learn the 101 secrets to success, the 20 ways to loose weight, and read dozens of books on becoming a better sales person. Oh come on! Can we get real?

cyber

Cyber Monday is around the corner, less than an hour away. Work too much this weekend, time to reward myself with some toys. :)

focus

I was at the casino the other day playing poker (no limit holdem). Within fifteen minutes, I made $240. In the next five hours, I made a total of $340. My strategy was to stay focus, play smart, calculate risk, and play only solid hands. After five hours, I was feeling tired, my ego was high from winning, I felt like I was playing with free money, and that’s when everything went down hill.

storage-room-junkDoes valuable junk sound familiar to anyone? Since it is Black Friday, there is no better time to blog about this. Black Friday is one of those time of the year where people most prone to add to their valuable junk collection. What is valuable junk? Remember those time where you find this big piece of stuff in your storage room, under bed, garage... that look like everything but garbage? You ask you father what that is and he tells you it is something worthy of some money, useful, functional, and a lot of time brand-new, such that it would be wasteful to place it into the garbage bin. However, you and you housemates find absolutely no immediate use or future use for it. Next thing you know, you simply return it to where you discovered. This very item is what I consider the valuable junk.

(The picture above is bacon wrapped sausages broiled in the oven, and bbq ribs broiled in the oven.) Thanksgiving was awesome! I had a lot of food with my family. We spent about 7 hours cooking, and 1 hour eating. I took a lot of pictures of us cooking the food, but it was over 100 shots. So I just posted up the finished products. After the event ended around 2AM, I went back to my black friday product search. I hope your Thanksgiving was as delicious as mines. Enjoy the rest of the pictures!
