The Valuable Junk
Does valuable junk sound familiar to anyone? Since it is Black Friday, there is no better time to blog about this. Black Friday is one of those time of the year where people most prone to add to their valuable junk collection. What is valuable junk? Remember those time where you find this big piece of stuff in your storage room, under bed, garage... that look like everything but garbage? You ask you father what that is and he tells you it is something worthy of some money, useful, functional, and a lot of time brand-new, such that it would be wasteful to place it into the garbage bin. However, you and you housemates find absolutely no immediate use or future use for it. Next thing you know, you simply return it to where you discovered. This very item is what I consider the valuable junk.
This collection usually becomes an apparent headache when you move or when you performing some major cleanup of the house. It's frustrating because you have to maintain your possession of it because you can't throw it away when kids from third world country do have the luxury to print their research pa... no, just kidding, but you get the point. Sometimes you can get away from selling them, this is the time when you realize what you have there is a valuable junk. I listed my full functionality close to brand-new printer for $10 on the classified and no one even inquired. Where did I get it from? It was a special offer when I purchased a laptop long time ago where the printer came free! OMG, good deal right? No. You have just added to your valuable junk collection. Sounds familiar? Black Friday? Yea? So many ridiculously cheap stuffs, but guess what? Look down the future, do you see yourself finding this very item from your storage room and wonder what the heck do I do with this, then you realize it is something of some value and you can't throw away, you simply put it back nicely. If this looks likely to you, the Black Friday deal you are holding is your future valuable junk, put it back down.
So I survived this Black Friday without adding to my valuable junk collection. I hope you didn't too. That said, anyone looking for printers, I have two exact the same, it's cool, how about $5?
